Cherie Ahvenniemi

BIO

Cherie Ahvenniemi has had a love of colour her entire life.

Born and raised in Kitchener, summering in Muskoka and later moving to Sault Ste Marie she has been blessed to experience the amazing natural beauty of Ontario. 

She entered art through watercolour and it's magical vibrant properties. 

As the passion grew she enjoyed bringing in acrylics and collage to freely express her intentions and emotions  

She gratefully recognizes encouragement from Linda Szabo, Gordon MacKenzie, Mary-Lou MacDonald and many supportive friends.

She continues to take workshops in a variety of media with inspiring teachers. 

Her paintings have found new homes in Canada and the US.
